With financial scrutiny, women are forced to do things that they aren’t comfortable with.
The film took us to the crowded streets and the struggling lives that single women with two children lead. In Navarasa, Roudhram is one film that really conveys the emotion and that is a major success. This is a striking debut for director Arvind Swami. The young man’s troubling events take us back to the struggling life he leads with his mother and sister. Meanwhile, Anbu (Riythvika) is investigating a case and is also struggling to keep her anger in check. He is detained by the police, who are questioning him. It makes you question if the film really conveyed the emotion that it intended to.Īrul (Sree Ram) hits a powerful man in the area with a hammer. When Nilavan helps a young boy reunite with his family, you begin to understand the real emotion behind it. With Peace?, Simhaa and Gautham Menon have played their parts well. This is a touchy topic because of the politics and the feelings involved. Yet again, director Karthik Subbaraj has touched upon the topic of Eelams and the war with the Sri Lankan Army. But, in doing so, he has to pay a hefty price. When a young boy, who is separated from his family, seeks their help, Nilavan jumps into action. They are at loggerheads with the Sri Lankan army. Nilavan (Bobby Simhaa), Master (Gautham Menon) and two other soldiers belong to the LTTE. The phrase 'age does not have anything to do with one's wisdom' also stands true in this segment. It is also cathartic to see how jealousy consumes oneself.
Like Aditi Balan, the audience is also disgusted by Delhi Ganesh’s actions. This is one of the few films that makes you feel the emotion it intended to as it ends. It is so good to see Vasanth don the director’s hat once again. When he reasons with himself to attend the wedding, he does something that disgusts his daughter (Aditi Balan). He is in a dilemma about whether to attend the wedding of his nephew’s daughter. Set in 1965, a discontented villager (Delhi Ganesh), who is in his late 70s, is jealous of his nephew’s success in life. If only it had been more simplified, the film would have done wonders. With power-packed performances from Arvind Swami and Prasanna, Project Agni was like a mini science lesson where he talks about the subconscious mind, drifting, time travel and multiple dimensions. And that’s what Project Agni was all about. But, when a concept isn’t explained well enough, the emotion it evokes is in stark contrast. Any scientific explanation will evoke wonder in you.
